Hi I'm Quinn. English/Art Major. Writer. Artist. Slytherin. Superwholockian.
I will take requests for drawings/sketches but I make no promises of quality. My art is extremely iffy so I really need the practice. I will also take au prompts for fandoms I'm a part of and try to pump out a few paragraphs for you. Or you can really ask me anything or message me if you just want to talk. I'm nice I swear
Any suggestions on which actor/actress I should try to draw with my tablet?Haven’t used it much so I’m really still experimenting.
I have so many great ideas for fanart but I also have no faith in my artistic abilities
GUYS MY FINAL ART PROJECT IS DUE WEDNESDAY AND IVE DONE DIDDLY-SQUAT FOR IT!!! I AM SOOOO SCREWED!!!
Hey guys, for my final art project I’m doing Lord of the Rings themed tarot cards. If anyone has any suggestions on which cards in the Major Arcana the Fellowship should be, inbox me. I’ll probably post the cards when I’m done with them as well.
I’m thinking about buying one and want to know if people are pleased with them and if they’re good for beginners.
So I’m gonna take a break from all the Cumberbatch posts and put this up.
So I’m in my first ever formal art class this semester and the assignment we had for this past week was to go to library and photocopy our faces. Obviously to avoid the embarrassment of pressing my face to the scanner in a public library I used the scanner on my own printer instead. This was the best picture I got out of it.
Then we were supposed to transfer the picture to our full size drawing pad and turn it in on Monday. Here we go!
First square done now 15 more to do. I forgot to take a picture when it was halfway done so we’re just gonna skip to the finished product.
There was really no point to this story I just felt like sharing the first piece of art that I’ve been truly satisfied with in a while. Especially since the critique was harsh today.
Plus this is how i felt while scanning my face at midnight after a closing shift at work:
I always get so awkward because yeah I draw and I’m decent at it, but I don’t spend all my free time thinking about my next piece or drawing amazing things. I draw when it comes to me and when it comes down to it, I’ve always felt that you need some kind of professional skill to be considered an artist. I honestly don’t consider my art good enough to qualify me as an artist so my answer to that is always something like “sort of…” Or “I’m artistically inclined…?” I honestly had better figure out an answer soon if I want to be an animator…
